Mercedes-Benz unveiled a new all-electric race car prototype at Monterey Car Week: The EQ Silver Arrow. The one-seater concept, designed by Gorden Wagener, pays homage to the record-breaking W 125 car from 1937.
The car body is made of carbon fiber and painted with “Alubeam Silver” to give it a sleek yet historic touch. Mercedes-Benz didn’t slack on the interior either as they placed genuine leather, polished aluminium and solid walnut veneers. Beneath the “hood” you’ll find the EQ has a total output of 550 kW, which is equivalent to 750 hp.
While most of us are thinking about getting lottery tickets to buy this car next year, we have to come to the realization that this concept will never see the light of production. In the meantime, we can wait until Mercedes-Benz releases their all-electric SUV (the EQC) coming out next year.
